Soda Blasting
NAPP is committed to ensuring that they use methods that are not only effective but also environmentally friendly.
Soda blasting is a non-toxic method of removing mould, paint, smoke damage, and other surface contaminants. While similar to sand blasting this method requires slightly more complex equipment and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is the blast media.
This is a far less abrasive action! The blast medium upon contact with the substrate will explode into finer and sharper pieces, it is this process which actually removes the surface contaminate, thereby reducing heat buildup, sparks or abrasion to the surface being cleaned.
Utilizing this process, almost any surface can be cleaned or paint removed without damage.
Upon completion the residue is simply vacuumed up and disposed as per local ministry standards.
Some of the more common uses are:
- Mould remediation
- Graffiti removal
- Fire & smoke damage cleanup
- Industrial and food grade equipment cleaning
